黑膠唱片，是一般人對過往使用唱盤機播放的唱片的稱呼。這種唱片是一種黑色圓盤形的膠片，用樹脂（後期改用聚氯乙烯，即PVC）壓製，上面刻有凹凸的坑紋，以紀錄聲音。早期的黑膠唱片只有單聲道，到後來發展成為雙軌的雙聲道音軌。到了1980年代後期時，這些唱片的顏色已不再局限於黑色，而可以是白色、橙色、透明、螢光色、甚至可以把歌手的樣貌印製在唱片裡，不過成本比較高。 CD就是所謂的雷射唱片，透過它可以將音樂保存下來，是一種用來儲存音樂的碟片。CD的模樣像圓圓的小盤子一樣，中間有個小圓洞，一面是亮晶晶的，另一面則是可以印上各種文字、圖像表示CD裡的內容。
在CD亮晶晶的、也就是會反光的那一面裡，存了很多的訊號，經過CD播放機，可以將那些訊號還原成音樂，再透過喇叭放出來，我們就可以聽見了。 這首音樂是從下面的CD片裡擷取下來的，早期應該也有錄製在黑膠片裡，黑膠片的印象是在我小 時候，住在家裡對面退休的吳團長家裡看到的，那時候村子裡第一個有唱機的就是他們家裡。民國六十二年跟中廣合唱團在中山堂一起合唱山旅之歌，那時候，也錄製了一張黑膠的唱片，後來什麼時候CD取代黑膠唱片就記不清楚了。 Unforgettable Songs 這一套專輯是十幾年前訂閱讀者文摘，是透過他們的行銷買了不少的專輯，盒子裡有四張CD曲子，都是一些常從收音機裡聽到的，而此首Brothers Four的try to remember，
