Marie Curie was a great scientist from Poland.

1. Marie and her sister Bronya were good students. Bronya went to Paris, while Marie stayed in Poland.
2. Marie went to study science in Paris when she was 24. She had little money, so her life was hard.
3. After graduating, Marie married Pierre Curie, a scientist. They discovered radium together, and won a Nobel Prize.
4. Marie continued to work after her husband died, and won another Nobel Prize. She died of cancer in 1934. Her daughter carried on with her work.
