It should be a very basic manner. However, I've been struggling to develop a conversation or to start a small talk with foreign teachers for a long time. At last, I learned that last Sunday afternoon. "Where are you going?" is a no-no. This sentence I said very often was not taking the culture difference into account. As a matter of fact, this is none of my business. The quesion is too straightforward. "Are you having a good time?" is a perfectly fine one. Work harder, Kate. Time and tide wait for no man. |
