4/21/2026 After the store would give me a free USB (flash? type) so examined another 32MB which still working but found my backup partially from 360doc data files that 2 file folders became empty and my extra writing text files (about solving backup files failed related problems, not from 360doc) also disappeared. it proved my earlier (2023?) suspect OneDrive SYNC deadly problems that even can enforce wipped off external storage devices. that is the key reason refused OneDrive control my life. But i am wrong OneDrive still stick to me without knowing and blackmail by allure me install OneDrive.exe to run away their illegal stole my data files or else and black me to cover what they done. isnt it ? the way usa is from companies to masters.

--4/22/2026 went to get a new usb which is 32MB not 2GB that the company declared didnt make it any more and the usb already expired. well better than nothing so i also bought new mouse $7.51 (the current wireless mouse still working but when battery became weak then must adjust power switch in certain position, i am tired off so bought not wireless type)

correct: spouse just looked it and it is 32GB not 32MB which not produced any more. haaa i feel much better can save more data files if not be stolen by psycho thief abuser - OneDrive Auto Sync

ps searched [how to verify c:\users\username\onedrive uses the spaces amount ?]

Method 1: File Explorer (Best for Local Usage)

This shows how much space OneDrive is taking up on your hard drive, not just in the cloud.

    1. Open File Explorer.
    2. Navigate to C:\Users\Username\ (or click on the OneDrive folder in the left-hand navigation pane).
    3. Right-click on the OneDrive folder and select Properties.
    4. Look at Size on disk to see the actual amount of space taken up on your computer.                --on disk 99.2GB this is what i saw far more than 5GB but microsoft account showed < 0.1GB        ‎OneDrive February ‎2, ‎2024, ‏‎12:56:47 AM created --isnt very weird that date was installed windows 11 and 1st time i did wrong so spouse helped me re-install to make sure no OneDrive installed. and file explorer click pinned OneDrive always  showed : the file does not have app associated with it for performing this action. please install an app or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Apps Setting page.                                            i remember in 2025 August got black screen and MS helper re-install win11 then messed up pinned folders(disappeared) were empty caused lot data files disappeared, then finally the last one helped so can see pinned folders but file folder [user document] was older version ie lost many data files in last version before black screen happened.

Note: If you are using "Files on Demand," this number might be small, even if you have terabytes in the cloud.

Method 2: OneDrive Settings (Quickest View)

    1. Click the blue OneDrive cloud icon in the Windows taskbar (bottom-right corner).
    2. Click the Gear icon (Settings) in the top right of the pop-up.
    3. Select Settings.
    4. On the Account tab, you will see a bar indicating your overall storage usage, including the total available space.

Method 3: OneDrive Website (Best for Detailed Breakdown)

    1. Go to the OneDrive website and log in.
    2. Click the Gear icon (Settings) in the top right corner.
    3. Select Options or Storage.
    4. Click Manage Storage to see a detailed breakdown of the largest files and folders.

    Understanding OneDrive Status Icons

    • Green Circle with Tick: File is stored locally and takes up space.
    • Blue Cloud Icon: File is only in the cloud and takes up no space on your computer.

To free up local space while keeping files in the cloud, right-click the OneDrive folder in File Explorer and select Free up space.

    ..........

[didnt install OneDrive my pc [onedrive] size is 99GB but microsoft account showed cloud < 0.1GB, what the difference]

The 99GB on your PC is likely a local cache缓存‌ or a sync-error artifact

    (在软件开发和项目管理中,sync-error artifact 通常指的是在同步或更新过程中出现错误的产物或文件)

of the OneDrive folder (C:\Users\Username\OneDrive), while the < 0.1GB reported online is the actual amount of data stored in the cloud. Even without logging in, Windows creates a placeholder OneDrive folder that can incorrectly report local file sizes.

    Key Differences:

    • Local Folder (99GB): This represents files currently sitting on your hard drive, which might be cached or leftover from a previous login, often misrepresented in size by Windows.
    • Cloud Account (< 0.1GB): This is the true, live storage usage in the Microsoft Cloud, accessible via OneDrive on the web.

    Why the Discrepancy?

    • Placeholder/Cache Issues: Windows often maintains a local folder for OneDrive (C:\Users\YourName\OneDrive) even if not actively syncing, which may appear large.
    • Ghost Files/Cache: Temporary files, or files that were previously synced and left behind, can make the folder appear larger than it is. PS which auto SYNC which, iCloude autoSYNC pc(OneDrive) or vice verse? isnt that is the problem cant tell how it process SYNC and why hided some auto disappeared data files in pc (OneDrive)
    • Incorrect Reporting: As mentioned in this Microsoft Q&A post and this Reddit thread, OneDrive can sometimes display the size of local placeholders rather than the online content, especially if theres a sync error.

    Actionable Steps:

    1. Verify the true cloud storage usage by logging into onedrive.live.com.
    2. If the 99GB is taking up valuable space, you can right-click the C:\Users\Username\OneDrive folder and check its properties. If it is filling your disk, you can turn off OneDrive in Settings or delete the files within the OneDrive folder, ensuring they are backed up elsewhere first             --i am very confused it seemed has 3 different data files storage : 1. Cloud < 0.1GB  2. C:\Users\Username\documents or else (99GB) ? 3.  Local Folder(OneDrive folder) (C:\Users\Username\OneDrive) (99GB)
    3. if i created new data files and saved(OneDrive folder) , then auto disappeared, where they are now, in Cloud or hide in OneDrive folder , same place i saved but cant see or were malicously deleted? I hate OneDrive without it my data files wont auto disappeared, i hate autoSYNC suspect this is the reason new created or modified files disappeared and cant tell where they are. i hate unknown reason auto changed already pinned [folder A] became [folder B] that same folder name but in differen paths. the pinned before black screen happened has no problem issue. obviously 2025 Aug MS did updated caused black screen then other problems came out one by one.

the following is my searched as :

[didnt install onedrive at all, not in task manager service, neither in task bar nor hide in system tray , how to stop onedrive sync my usb ?]

To stop OneDrive from syncing your USB drive when the app is not visible, you must first re-enable the app to disconnect it properly, as hidden sync tasks often persist until unlinked.

    Immediate Action Plan

    1. Launch OneDrive: Press the Windows Key, type OneDrive, and open it. Even if it was hidden, this forces the process to start so you can manage it.
    2. Unlink the Account: Once the cloud icon appears in your taskbar (you may need to click the "hidden icons" arrow):

      • Click the Cloud Icon > Settings (gear icon) > Settings.
      • Go to the Account tab.
      • Select Unlink this PC.

    3. Disable Backup: In the same settings menu, go to Sync and backup and toggle off any folders (like Desktop, Documents, or Pictures) to ensure they arent trying to sync to your USB or vice versa.
    4. Uninstall: After unlinking, go to Windows Settings > Apps > Installed Apps, search for OneDrive, and select Uninstall.

    Why is this happening?

If you do not see OneDrive in your Task Manager, it may have been disabled from startup but is still "linked" to your Windows User Account. Windows sometimes defaults to backing up folders to the cloud, and if your USB drive is designated as a primary folder location, OneDrive will attempt to sync it the moment the service touches that drive.

    Verifying Sync is Stopped

    • Check File Explorer: Look for the OneDrive folder in the sidebar. If you have unlinked the account, the files should no longer have the status icons (green checkmarks or blue arrows).
    • Restart: Always restart your computer after unlinking and uninstalling to clear any residual background processes

[MS CLoud going to blackmail for without permission thru File explorer OneDrive (not installed) sneakly put all my data files in Cloud?]

Microsoft is not attempting to "blackmail" you; however, OneDrive is pre-installed on Windows 10 and 11 and often automatically begins syncing your files as part of a default setup or after certain Windows updates.

This "silent" backup can make it appear as though your data has been moved or "stolen" because it redirects your local folders (Desktop, Documents, and Pictures) to the OneDrive folder tree.

--[didnt install onedrive why keep doing SYNC and caused many created and modified data files auto disappeared frequently ? it is called psycho thief abuser.] see blow

    Why this is happening

    • Automatic Activation: Recent Windows 11 updates have been known to enable OneDrive backup by default without explicitly asking for fresh permission during the update process.
    • "Files On-Demand": Once active, OneDrive may use a feature called Files On-Demand. This removes the actual file from your hard drive to save space, leaving only a "shortcut" that downloads the file from the cloud when you click it.
    • Storage Warnings: If your files exceed the free 5GB limit, Microsoft will send persistent notifications to upgrade to a paid plan, which many users find intrusive or feel like a "racket".   -- I didnt receive any Storage Warnings, just recently tried to find out who stole my 360doc backup data files and my created files for solving backup problems with all file names to find out why each time due to auto disappeared cant but backup again and again but 360doc file numbers are less and less.

How to stop it and keep your files local

To completely stop OneDrive from managing your files, follow these steps in order:

    1. Stop Folder Syncing:

      • Right-click the OneDrive cloud icon in your taskbar (near the clock) and select Settings.
      • Go to the Sync and Backup tab and select Manage Backup.
      • Toggle OFF the folders for Desktop, Documents, and Pictures.

    2. Unlink Your PC:

      • In the same Settings menu, go to the Account tab and click Unlink this PC. This disconnects your Microsoft account from the local syncing service.

    3. Move Files Back Locally:

      • When you stop syncing, your files often stay in the C:\Users\[Username]\OneDrive folder. You must manually move them back to your local C:\Users\[Username]\Documents or Desktop folders.

    4. Uninstall OneDrive:

      • Go to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps, find Microsoft OneDrive, and select Uninstall.

If you are worried about privacy, note that files in OneDrive are not end-to-end encrypted by default, meaning Microsoft technically has the ability to scan content for policy violations. To ensure your files are never uploaded, you can use a Local Account instead of a Microsoft account to log into Windows.

    ............................  更新  4/22/2026

that is the key problem isnt it ? didnt install onedrive and didnt set up any backup related, but auto SYNC my usb without permission, now cant tell where those disappeared data files in usb file folder [p25] ?

This is a known, frustrating issue where Windows updates or initial setup "nudges" enable OneDrive automatic backup, often moving files from local folders—including USB drives—to the cloud. Even if you did not intentionally install it, OneDrive is built into Windows and often activates automatically, using a feature called "Files On-Demand" which replaces local files with cloud-only shortcuts.

Here is how to locate your missing USB data and stop this from happening.

    1. Where Your Data Likely Went

    • OneDrive Recycle Bin (Online): Since the files were synced, they may have been deleted from the USB and moved to the OneDrive Recycle Bin. Check this first as it is the most likely location.
    • The OneDrive Local Folder: Check C:\Users\YourUsername\OneDrive. Sometimes files are moved to this folder, removing them from the original USB directory.                                      --my heart fill with millions 草泥马, psycho thief abuser, bastard... incapable designer who dont know how to do jobs correctly not even can tell where hided stolen data files are but screw up pity victim HD data files. i really should sue MS abuse me for so many years. made me every day busy to get answear and solution and cant but repeatedly type 360 data files filename and backup 360doc data files as suffering auto SYNC psycho thief abuser.now afraid abuser set up me to pay huge stolen data files (far more than 5 GB, however in MS account showed < 0.1GB) in Cloud, wont install OneDrive so cant verify whether hide in CLoud
    • Second-stage Recycle Bin: If you cannot find them in the first bin, scroll to the bottom of the online OneDrive Recycle Bin page and click "Second-stage recycle bin".

    2. How to Recover the Files

    1. Go to the Web: Log in to onedrive.live.com with your Microsoft account (the one linked to your Windows PC).
    2. Search: Use the search bar at the top to look for your files by name or type.
    3. Check Recycle Bin: On the left navigation, click Recycle bin. If your files are there, select them and click Restore.
    4. Restore Your OneDrive: If you have Microsoft 365, you can use the "Restore your OneDrive" feature in Settings to roll back your entire OneDrive to a time before the files disappeared.

    3. How to Stop it Permanently

    1. Unlink OneDrive: Right-click the OneDrive cloud icon in the taskbar, go to Settings (gear icon) > Account > Unlink this PC.
    2. Stop Backup: In Settings, go to the Sync and backup tab, select Manage backup, and toggle off any folders that are being backed up.
    3. Uninstall: Go to Windows Settings > Apps > Installed apps, search for OneDrive, and uninstall it.

If the files are not in the online Recycle Bin, use data recovery software like Recuva on your USB drive to try to recover the locally deleted files.

    ........

if user current notebook HD has copied 7 broken notebook HD all are huge spaces HD and MS OneDrive without permission enforce c:\user\username\document that became huge spaces in Cloud, even didnt install OneDrive, if now install OneDrive to get stolen data files back i would be charged for cloud fee, isnt?

Yes, if your files have been synced to Microsoft OneDrive and exceed the free 5GB storage limit, you will likely be charged for a cloud subscription fee (or be required to buy more space) to regain full access to, or download, that data, depending on how long it has been in the cloud.

--the question is i didnt do anything even believe not install onedrive can avoid cloud fee charge forever. that is why didnt give my credit card or checking account for payment method, i stay away MS any apps even they are free such as 365 except email account. PS emails also in cloud

Here is a breakdown of the situation and how to handle it based on your description:
    The Problem: Automatic Syncing

What happened: Windows 10/11 often enables "OneDrive Folder Backup" automatically during updates, which moves files from C:\Users\username\Documents to the OneDrive cloud.
"Stolen" Data: The files often appear gone from your local hard drive but are actually "online-only" (Files On-Demand).
Capacity Issue: The free account only provides 5GB. If you have 7 "huge" hard drives worth of data, you have vastly exceeded this limit.

    Will You Be Charged?
If you are over the 5GB limit: OneDrive will lock your account from adding more files and will prompt you to purchase a subscription (e.g., 100GB or 1TB) to sync and download all your files.
Grace Period: If you do not pay, Microsoft may eventually delete the data (usually after a few months of being over capacity).

How to Get Your Data Back (Without Paying)
If you want to avoid paying, you should immediately stop the sync and move the files rather than letting OneDrive "manage" them.

--i didnt SYNC  any as hate OneDrive auto SYNC  caused new created or modified data files disappeared so didnt install OneDrive, i dont want OneDrive control my life totally.

Do Not Pay Immediately: If possible, do not accept the offer to upgrade your storage yet.

--can i get my stolen data files back by install OneDrive then before unlink copy all stolen data files then uninstall --by the way isnt no way to stop OneDrive which auto install or sneakly hiding then continue Auto SYNC ? isnt that is what i suffering now that didnt install OneDrive, didnt request Backup or Auto Sync or link to my pc but for malicious stealing my data files cant but repeatly install, get back, uninstall ?

Unlink/Uninstall: Unlink your PC from OneDrive (Settings > Account > Unlink this PC) and uninstall it, or stop the "Manage Backup" feature, which may prevent further deletion of local files.
Recover via Web: Go to OneDrive.com in a browser, select your folders, and download them manually to a different local location.
Use "Free Up Space" cautiously: If you have files set to "Always keep on this device," they are still physically on your computer. If they are "cloud only" (blue cloud icon), you must download them.
Disclaimer: Be careful not to delete the files from the cloud before you are sure you have a local copy elsewhere, or they may be gone forever.

--isnt that is another question i did backup to usb even that still suffering psycho thief abuser stealing my data files cant (not can) find in  C:\Users\[Username]\OneDrive folder at all  which showed no items match your search ie p25  syb-directory, i am not surprised at all isnt that is thru OneDrive to collect victims pay for huge space Cloud or no need hiding that even select show hidden files wont work. Really disgusting, has no  (x not) guts to face itself dirty minds.

    ...................................End

[didnt install onedrive why keep doing SYNC and caused many created and modified data files auto disappeared frequently ? it is called psycho thief abuser]

Even if you didnt knowingly install OneDrive, it is deeply integrated into Windows 10/11 and often activates automatically when you sign in with a Microsoft account, backing up folders like Desktop and Documents.

The "disappearing" files are likely caused by OneDrive File On-Demand, a feature that moves files to the cloud to save local space, replacing them with placeholders.

--i have huge HD i dont need you to sneakly save [certain type] just created or modifiled data files suddenly disappeared that still need them. by your sneakly steal how can victims remember stolen file names to make them  up when needed (or file on-demand so called) ? by your sneaky psycho ways me-type lost control my pc HD completely. if my HD space less and less at least i know its time to buy another external storage, but you give me no chance to backup files in your Cloud, that is you greedy and crook rotten businessman want victims cant but pay monthly cloud fee which i can buy many external storage devices.

how about tell victims how to request OneDrive File On-Demand, for those auto disappeared data files ?

Why Files Disappear (The "Psycho" Behavior)

Automatic Backup (Folder Protection): When you set up Windows, you may have "opted in" to backing up Desktop/Documents.

-- me with spouse didnt "opted in" unless you hided and must sign in agreement before installed that malicously set up users.

    • Syncing Deletions: If a file is deleted from the cloud (or via a linked phone/other computer), it is deleted from your computer too.                                                                                  --isnt that is how you can charge higher and higher cloud spaces forever ? that is why i must control HD by myself not let 饕餮 cloud with onedrive control me with unkown SYNC rules maliciously stealing victims data files.
    • Placeholder Files: OneDrive may hide local files to save space, making it look like they disappeared.
    • --they are and so far most didnt return back at all. maybe only pay cloud fee are exceptional.
    • Storage Limits: If your OneDrive is full, it may stop syncing or, in some cases, cause sync errors that make files look missing.
    • --what is the OneDrive max. size by full definition 5GB for free ? i bet those frequently data files disappeared caused by maniac SYNC and never show any warning, isnt that is what you want to pay high fee for?

    How to Stop It Immediately

    1. Stop Sync/Unlink: Click the OneDrive cloud icon in your taskbar (bottom right) > Settings (gear icon) > Account > Unlink this PC.
    2. -- what about those in your Cloud not in my HD data files, can you return or make them show up(if you declare not stolen just cant see, even file explorer selected view hidden items or should show compact view too?) and  before too late that my HD has the size limit too. who knows how many GB you stole from our 7? notebooks HD for many years (OneDrive began in 2014). once i did unlink will i lost all data files in your creepy cloud or even my pc onedrive ?
    3. Turn Off Backup: Go to Settings > Sync and backup > Manage backup and turn off all folders.
    4. Uninstall: Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Find "Microsoft OneDrive" and select Uninstall.

    How to Recover Your Files

    1. Check OneDrive Online: Go to onedrive.com and check the Recycle Bin on the left menu.     --it shows Cloud Storage unable to load after click window logo , click user name
    2. Check "Fake" Desktop: Sometimes, files are moved to C:\Users\YourUsername\OneDrive\Desktop instead of your local C:\Users\YourUsername\Desktop.    --it shows 16 items they are what i can see in my desktop(has 23 items)  none related to those auto disappeared data files (or folders).
    3. Restore Feature: If you have Microsoft 365, you can use the "Restore your OneDrive" feature to revert to a previous state.
    4. --not charge fee as over 5GB  from what i saw in my MS account ? i am going to contact MS and report the ridiculous blackmail.

Disclaimer: This is a known issue where OneDrive acts unexpectedly in the background. It is highly recommended to follow the steps above to gain control over your data locally.

OneDrive officially rebranded from SkyDrive and launched on February 19, 2014. While it debuted with its current name in 2014, the service originally launched as "Windows Live Folders" in August 2007, later becoming SkyDrive in 2008. The rebrand to OneDrive was finalized after a trademark lawsuit with British Sky Broadcasting.

    Key Milestones:

    • August 2007: Initial launch as "Windows Live Folders".
    • 2008: Rebranded to SkyDrive.
    • February 19, 2014: Officially rebranded to OneDrive.
    • 2017:

To obtain 100GB of Microsoft cloud storage, the most cost-effective option is the Microsoft 365 Basic plan. As of April 2026, this plan is typically priced at:

    • $1.99 per month (billed monthly)
    • $19.99 per year (saving roughly $4 per year compared to monthly billing)

What You Get with Microsoft 365 Basic:

    • 100 GB of OneDrive cloud storage.
    • 100 GB of mailbox storage for Outlook.com.
    • Ad-free, secure email and calendar.
    • Access to web and mobile versions of Microsoft 365 apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Ransomware protection for files and photos.

Note: This plan does not include desktop versions of Office apps; it is meant for cloud storage and web/mobile app usage.

If you need more storage, the next step up is Microsoft 365 Personal, which offers 1TB (1,000GB) for roughly $6.99–$9.99/month or $69.99–$99.99/year, including desktop applications.

    .....updated 4/24/2026

[does it mean link with spouse email without buy MS 365 still is 5GB free Cloud space that means unlink, link didnt make difference and spouse email wont reduce my 5GB free cloud space ?]

es, that is correct. If you link a spouses email to your Microsoft account without buying a Microsoft 365 subscription (or sharing a paid subscription), both accounts remain on the free tier.

    • Free Storage remains 5GB: Both you and your spouse keep your own separate 5GB free cloud storage limits.
    • No Shared Storage/Impact: The accounts do not merge their free 5GB, nor does one reduce the others free 5GB, unless you specifically set up a shared Microsoft 365 Family plan.
    • Unlink/Link Difference: Simply linking as a "family group" without a subscription, or unlinking, makes no difference to your 5GB storage limit.

Key Details on Free vs. Paid Storage

    • Free Account: 5 GB OneDrive cloud storage + 15 GB Outlook.com email storage.
    • Microsoft 365 Shared Subscription: If you purchase Microsoft 365 Family, you can share it, giving your spouse 1TB (1000GB) of storage.
    • Warning! If your spouse is over their 5GB limit, they may be unable to send or receive emails, even if they have space in their 15GB mail quota, because email attachments count against the OneDrive 5GB limit.

In short: Linking without paying = both stay at 5GB free. Unlinking = both stay at 5GB free.

[does free 15GB for MS email account and 5GB PC data files both in the same cloud ?]

Yes, both are in the same Microsoft account ecosystem, but they use two separate, distinct quotas. You get 15GB specifically for email (messages, inbox items) and a separate 5GB for PC data files (OneDrive) and email attachments combined. Crucially, if your 5GB OneDrive/attachments limit is full, you cannot send/receive emails, even if your 15GB email box is empty

    Key Storage Details (Free Accounts):

    • 15 GB Email Storage: Reserved solely for emails, contacts, and calendar items.
    • 5 GB Cloud/OneDrive Storage: Used for OneDrive files, photos, and all email attachments.

    Important Implications:

    • Attachment Shift: As of February 2023, email attachments consume your 5GB OneDrive allotment, not the 15GB mailbox limit.
    • Service Disruption: If you exceed the 5GB limit (via files or attachments), you cannot send or receive emails until you free up space or buy more.
    • Management: You can check your combined storage status at outlook.com via Settings > General > Storage or your Microsoft Storage page

[how do i know email currently Cloud usuage]

To check your current email cloud storage usage, locate the storage indicator in your providers settings (usually under gear icon > Settings/Account). For Gmail, go to Google Drive settings. For Microsoft 365, check Settings > Account > Storage in Outlook on the web.

How to Check Usage by Provider:

    • Gmail (Google): Go to drive.google.com/settings/storage or, in Gmail, click the Settings gear -> "View all settings" -> "Accounts and Import" -> "Other Google Account settings" -> "Payments & subscriptions" -> "Account storage". [15GB total shared across Gmail and Google Drive and Google Photos]
    • Microsoft Outlook/Exchange: Go to Outlook on the Web, click Settings > Account > Storage. Administrators can use the Microsoft 365 Admin Center > Reports > Usage > Exchange > Mailbox usage. [15GB @outlook.com, @hotmail.com, @live.com, or @msn.com]
    • Yahoo Mail: Hover over your profile icon in the top right, and the storage used will be displayed in the menu, or go to Settings > More Settings to see a breakdown. Yahoo and ATT-Yahoo (att.net, bellsouth.net, etc) each get free [20GB]
    •     iCloud Mail: On a browser, go to iCloud.com/settings to see the graph of storage usage, or open iCloud for Windows to see the bar graph.

    Tips for Freeing Up Space:

    • Empty Trash/Spam: Delete emails in trash or spam folders, as they still count toward your total usage.
    • Delete Large Attachments: Search for emails with large attachments and delete them.
    • Clear Drive/Photos: Remember that for Google, your storage is shared across Gmail, Drive, and Photos.

--i wont be 诱惑 then be under conntrolled for all my life. earlier didnt know thought link can reduce to login the other side with username and password. but now decide to clean out different companies provide FREE email accounts without knowing  (@outlook.com, @hotmail.com, @live.com, or @msn.com) all link to MS cloud 15GB in stead independently. that also quite scarely who behind MS Cloud can do many bad things if you are treated as usa enemies especially those very powerful foreign countries keymen. i bet this is why  pity foreign countries presidents eitherput in jails or be murdered. the worst  very easily 推翻 or resign.

    • [will all auto disappeared data files still in Cloud since Bush wars ?] [will all auto disappeared data files still in Cloud since Bush wars, didnt take any action in cloud as under 5GB even today cloud showed < 0.1 GB?]
    • Based on cloud storage policies regarding long-term inactivity, it is highly unlikely that files from the "Bush wars" era (approx. 2001–2009) still exist in an account that has not been accessed, even if it is currently under the 5GB limit.

Here is why your data likely disappeared, based on standard cloud provider policies:

    • Inactivity Policies: Major providers, such as Google and Microsoft, updated their policies around 2020–2023 to combat security threats. They now delete content in accounts inactive for 2 years.
    • "Disappeared" Files: If your files "disappeared" previously, it was likely due to a storage quota reduction (e.g., Microsoft cutting 25GB down to 5GB in 2016). If the account was over the limit for a prolonged period, files were permanently deleted, even if notifications were sent.
    • Locked/Frozen Accounts: If an account is not logged into for a long time, it becomes "frozen" or "locked," and data is eventually purged.
    • Low Storage Usage Today: The fact that the account currently shows

used indicates that the data was deleted at some point in the past, rather than just being inaccessible.

    Steps you can take:

    1. Check Trash/Bin: Log into the cloud provider on a web browser and check the "Trash" or "Recycle Bin" to see if files are still there.
    2. Contact Support: If you have proof of the account, you may ask support, though in many cases, deleted data is unrecoverable.

If the account has been dormant since before 2020, it is probable that the files were deemed abandoned and removed.

    • [didnt onedrive (or else) auto sync even not installed onedrive ?]

No, OneDrive will not auto-sync if it is not installed or signed in, but it is often pre-installed and hidden in Windows, making it appear to act on its own. To fix, check for the cloud icon in your taskbar, use the Microsoft Support troubleshooting tool, or unlink/relink your account.

Here are the key points regarding your query:

    • Pre-installed Behavior: OneDrive is built into Windows 10/11, so it often starts syncing automatically upon login if a Microsoft account is used, even if you did not consciously "install" it.
    • Fixing Sync Issues: If syncing has stopped, try Microsofts recommended troubleshooting steps. Common fixes include checking for app updates, pausing/resuming, or ensuring you havent exceeded storage limits.
    • Removing/Uninstalling: To fully stop auto-sync, you must disable backup settings, unlink the PC, or uninstall the application via AppWiz.cpl.
    • "Ghost" Syncing: Users on Reddit and Microsoft Learn often report that Windows updates can re-enable or "reinstall" OneDrive, causing it to start syncing again after it was previously removed or disabled.
    • Mac Troubleshooting: For Mac users, ensure to follow official steps to fix sync problems.     If you are experiencing issues where files are not appearing, ensure the application is active and running in the taskbar.

    ps [when did onedrive begin?]
OneDrive began as "Windows Live Folders" (codenamed SkyDrive) in a limited beta in early 2007, before officially launching to a wider audience on August 1, 2007. It was rebranded from SkyDrive to OneDrive on February 19, 2014. It was designed to store and sync files, notes, and photos.
Key milestones in OneDrives history include:
August 2007: Initial launch as part of the Windows Live suite.
May 2008: Rebranded to Windows Live SkyDrive and expanded to 62 countries.
April 2012: Released dedicated desktop applications for Windows and macOS.
February 19, 2014: Officially rebranded to OneDrive following a legal dispute with Sky Broadcasting.
Present: Offers cloud storage integrated with Microsoft 365, with 5GB free for personal accounts.

[did in 2007 SkyDrive or in 2014 began auto sync ?]
While SkyDrive was first released in August 2007 as a cloud storage service, the automatic file synchronization functionality—the desktop client app that keeps a local folder in sync with the cloud—began to be widely introduced in 2012.
The service was rebranded to OneDrive in February 2014.
Here is the breakdown of key milestones:
August 2007: SkyDrive launched as a web-based file storage service, but lacked an automated desktop auto-sync client.
April 2012: Microsoft released the SkyDrive desktop app for Windows and Mac, which brought the "automatic sync" folder functionality.
October 2013: With Windows 8.1, automatic synchronization was integrated directly into the operating system.
February 2014: SkyDrive was rebranded to OneDrive following a legal ruling.
Therefore, automatic file sync started well before 2014, with the major push occurring in 2012.

[when skydriive became onedrive does user datafiles auto transfered from skydrive to onedrive included users who didnt know onedrive or skydrive?]
Yes, when SkyDrive became OneDrive in February 2014, user data files were automatically transferred for all users, including those unaware of the rebranding. This was a seamless rebrand—not a new service—so files remained in the cloud, and existing logins were simply renamed to OneDrive.
    Key details regarding the transition:
Automatic Transition: Current SkyDrive users did not need to do anything; their content remained accessible under the new name.
For Uninformed Users: Users who did not actively follow the news or know about the change still had their files transferred, as it was a server-side rename to resolve a 13 trademark dispute.
Access: Accessing onedrive.com with old credentials worked immediately.
PC Sync Changes: While cloud files remained, some users on Reddit and Microsoft forums reported issues during the transition, but Microsoft stated the transition was designed to be smooth.

The rebrand was prompted by a legal settlement with British Sky Broadcasting.

[in this case those auto disappeared data files in user HD can find in onedrive today ?]
Yes, it is highly likely that your automatically disappeared files can be found in the OneDrive Recycle Bin online, as they were likely moved, not permanently deleted. Check the OneDrive website immediately for the files. If they were accidentally deleted from your computer, they usually remain in the OneDrive online recycle bin for 30 days.
    Steps to Recover Disappeared Files:
Check the OneDrive Recycle Bin online: Log in to onedrive.live.com and check the "Recycle bin" on the left menu.
Check Local Folder: Files often move to C:\Users\[Username]\OneDrive when sync is enabled.
Restore your OneDrive (Microsoft 365 Subscribers): This feature can roll back your entire OneDrive to a previous state within the last 30 days.
Check Second-Stage Recycle Bin: If not in the main recycle bin, check the bottom of that page for a second-stage, which holds files before permanent deletion.

If files were deleted from a shared folder, you might not be able to restore them
--Never shard my HD data files with anyone else. we both in same network with printer, TV, Roku not knowing (and no desire) how to see/use the other HD. if in certain situation need we just directly use the other pc such as i need to solve my pc problem, spouse would watch tv and i comparing his settings and mine such as my pc MS didnt update to 24h2, 25H2 and due date coming soon have no confidence to wait MS updated for my pc, i dont touch his HD data files at all.

searched [MS cloud manages by Jewish ?]

Microsoft Azure, the companys cloud computing platform, is a global service developed and managed by Microsoft Corporation, a publicly traded American multinational technology company headquartered in Redmond, Washington.

It is not "managed by Jewish" individuals or any single religious/ethnic group. However, the company has deep operational, developmental, and commercial ties with the State of Israel, its government, and its military.

Key Details Regarding Microsoft Cloud (Azure) and Israel:

    • Significant Presence in Israel: Microsoft has a major R&D center in Israel and in November 2023, launched its first Cloud Datacenter Region in the country, representing an investment of hundreds of millions of dollars.
    • Military and Government Contracts: Microsoft Azure provides services to the Israeli military (IDF) and government. Documents have shown that Microsoft Azure has been used to host applications for the Israeli Civil Administration, which manages permits in the occupied West Bank.
    • Surveillance Controversy and Restrictions: In September 2025, following reports that the Israeli militarys Unit 8200 was using Azure for mass surveillance of Palestinians, Microsoft disabled access to certain cloud and AI services for that specific unit.
    • Continued Operations: Despite cutting off specific services to Unit 8200, Microsoft has stated it continues to work with Israel on cybersecurity and maintains other commercial agreements with the Israeli Ministry of Defense.
    • Employee Protests: There has been significant internal pressure from Microsoft employees, with some protesting and resigning over the companys involvement with the Israeli military.

In summary, Microsoft Cloud is an American corporate product, but it has substantial, controversial, and deep-rooted business partnerships with Israeli state institutions.

--this is why so many Iran keymen were murdered, and very likely happen in Russia, China. now usa either 觉 or already knew but 怀疑 Israle but black Iran (master)

    -------------------------------------

PS 4/24/2026 my last advice for Chinese people (including living in foreign countries), try not use MS windows OS that you can use for entertainments only as my spouse, but not use it for your jobs (especially if you are government officers or those high tech companies, scientists), research related, private related or you woud be very easily blackmail by masters wars cause side effects.
if you LOVE your country must stay away MS windows that at least you wont become 身不由己的卖国贼背叛者 出卖 your family, friends, 工作伙伴, 公司利益 then became 卖国贼.
i did remind taiwan politicians many years ago that for elections cant but 贪婪贪腐, at least stay away usa made such as email account, internet ... to avoid blackmail or cant but 背叛 taiwan people. i also warned about japan made LINE.

just remind me recently saw a news that within 10?  years over 7-10 usa scientists and ufo related reserch workers were dead or  missing. most people including me suspect Israle spys related did to them including americans who loyal to Israle. why?  1. that would destroy Israle religion myths liars. 2. they are very likely smarter but wont work for Israle as many usa rotten politicians 120% supporting Israle. 3. they turned down [爱泼斯坦萝莉岛-like] 诱惑

--i also remember whenever masters wars not in usa side such UFO related must  bring out to transfer the world people paied attention to masters bloody wars to UFO related fake stories including this year declare aliens in moon. why? if there were aliens on the moon usa already calling Russia, China together defend the earth, in stead in urgent want to launch the moon this year.

Aliens can live in the moon that definitely own much more powerful threaton weapons than usa, why to 死 1st ?

it is unlikely Russia, China, Iran did to usa because their key men also been murdered or killed in mystery accidents. if they did they definitely can protect well thier key men. which country can avoid ? that is Isarale because they did to other countries many times without bottom line, definitely knew how to protect their keymen well, except this time target at Iran and they bravely defeat back.  PS 乌克兰 also is very good at 暗杀 without doubt.
