１９４４年８月生於伊夫舍姆的吉姆．卡帕爾迪（Jim Capaldi，1944-2005）是英國創作歌手／鼓手．

原名Nicola James Capaldi

１９６７年，他與 史蒂夫溫伍德（Steve Winwood ）共同創立前衛搖滾樂團 Traffic。

他作為 Traffic 最初陣容的一部分入選搖滾名人堂。

 

除Traffic樂團活動外，吉姆也發展個人音樂事業．

１９７５年１２月，３１歲的卡帕爾迪推出第三張個人大碟［Short Cut Draw Blood／捷徑抽血］（Island唱片發行）

由吉姆，Steve Smith　, Chris Blackwell製作，評價良好．

 

大碟第二單曲［Love Hurts／愛情傷人］是翻唱美國Boudleaux Bryant創作，１９６０the Everly Brothers最先灌錄的歌曲．

吉姆版由Steve Smith製作成一首流行／搖滾，節奏輕快．
