I read your article about the Iraq war was not caused by oil interests. I am not certain if that is entirely true, but I still think you've missed the point: the Iraq war, as advocated by Bush, was necessitated by the alleged weapons of mass destruction that Saddam Hussein allegedly had and was planning on using against the U.S. Bush and his cronies successfully misled public opinion by riding on post-911 sentiment and grossly misrepresenting the intelligence on the so-called WMDs -- when intelligence pre- and post-war both indicated that Iraq never did possess such WMDs. So, I would surmise one of two things had happened: (1) there was an intelligence failure and Bush believed in faulty intelligence, or (2) Bush knew that the intelligence was untrue and chose to lie to the public. Frankly, I don't know which is worse.
Your article attempted to defend Bush and the war by claiming that oil was not the cause of it. That, however, does not address the elephant in the room: the fact that the war was initiated by Bush under a false pretense. The U.S. went to war with another country for the wrong reason. I have yet to see anyone apologizing for this mistake.
