My dad smokes when I was growing up. I have allergy and I can not stand someone smoke around me. I also have memory that when I try to hold his hand to cross the road, I accidentally got burn by his cigarette. From then, I really don’t like smoker and I don’t like to smell of the cigarette either. Once I ask my mum why she married a smoker, my mum did not answer me. Then I told my mum I will never ever marry someone who smokes. It turns out, I was WRONG~!!! When I first met Scott I know he is a smoker, I did tell him that I really don’t like it. He did promise me that he will quit one day. After we moved in together I find that luckily he only smoke outside and he does not smoke while I was in the car. But, I will want him to quit. I don’t really want to nag him to quit smoking, because I know the more I nag him more he does not want to quit. In that time, he wants to move from our city apartment to a rental house. (Scott is really kiwi bloke, he is not used to live in apartment, he like his space and his garage~!) He made me a promise that he will quit smoking if I agree to move to a rental house. So, I agreed~! But guess what? 4 years later, Scott still has not quit smoking yet~! Now, after 65 years of smoking, my grandfather has quite smoking. He has stopped nearly 1 year now. Look at my dad, after 40 years of smoking, he has quit smoking as well. I think it is time to give Scott a push for him to quit smoking. |
