I went to the market early this morning to buy salty rice cakes. The vendor did not come. I ended up buying some oysters from an old woman standing with a plastic bag in her hand. I noticed her because she did not look like a vendor but a grandmother. My mom was happy about the fresh oysters. I am glad that she did not complain. Most of the times she complains about everything that I buy. Then she said that she wanted to make some dumplings today. Yet she did not have time to buy dumpling skins. I volunteered to buy them for her. I decided to walk instead of riding any bike or motorcycle since it was raining. However, I noticed that the rain had become so light that I should not bother to use the umbrella. I immediately knew that I made a mistake because four bags of skins were so heavy. It was not fun to carry them all the way home by hand. Someone on her motorcycle stopped and took off her mask. She was one of my students who had graduated. I had an impulse to put all the four bags into her basket. I controlled the impulse and smiled at her. I told her that my home was near.
