Our ultimate goal was that students learn from these heroes’ personal experiences and apply a similar spirit to the resolution of their own difficulties. 。
如何引導出孩子們寫出精彩的英文作文,還有一個很重要的環節就是要「感動孩子、激勵孩子」。具有使命感的閱讀寫作課,讓英語學習更值回票價。讓我們的雙語課程,就好比某個電影台的廣告詞"it's not school. it's Kang Chiao."
分享同學Luna Jaw的文章: Steven Jobs, the co-founder of Apple Company, built it into the world’s leading tech company and led a mobile-computing revolution with widely popular devices such as the iMac, iPod, iPhone and iPad-all of which changed how we consume content in the digital age. He died on Oct. 5, 2011 at the age of 56.
Born on Feb. 24, 1955, and then adopted, Jobs grew up in Cupertino, California, showed an early interest on electronics. Jobs dropped out of Oregon’s Reed College after one semester because he couldn’t afford the educational fee. However, he continued auditing classes at Reed while sleeping on the floor in friends’ dorm rooms, returning coke bottles for food money and getting free meals at the local temple.
In 1976, Jobs and Vozniak formed Apple Computer Company. One of his difficulties was that he got kicked out of Apple, the company he created, in 1985. Jobs founded NeXT, a computer platform development company, after he left apple. In 1986, he acquired the computer graphics division of Lucasfilm, which was spun off as Pixar. He was credited in Toy Story (1955) as an executive producer. In 1996, after Apple had failed to deliver its operating system, Jobs returned to Apple as an adviser and CEO. Jobs was diagnosed with a pancreas cancer in 2003. Though it was aggressively treated, he appeared progressively thinner as his health declined. On medical leave for most of 2011, Jobs resigned in August that year, and was elected chairman of the Board.
Jobs oversaw the development of the iMac, iTunes, iPod, iPhone, and iPad, and the Apple stores on the service side. The success of these products and services propelled Apple to become the world’s most valuable publicly traded company in 2011. Also, Jobs was among the first to see the commercial potential of Xerox PARC’s mouse-driven graphical user interface. Jobs also played a role in introducing the LaserWriter, one of the first widely available laser printers to the market. Job’s big influence in the technology and music industries made him described as the “Father of the Digital Revolution”.
