Acorn Creek Trail become popular this year. This is one of the trail within 2 hours from Denver with lots of wild flowers.  Only about 40 parking spots there. We went on Tuesday. Only about 10 cars parked at the trailhead. Crested Butte has more wild flowers, but you need to stay there overnight.  We hiked only half an hour in.
