那又怎樣？

Your dog disappeared and never came back?

So what.

Your neighbor encroached on your property and refused to correct it?

So what.

Your parents didn't love you?

So what.

You caught your mate in bed with your best friend?

So what.

Your husband died of a heart attack and

you have been told you have 3 weeks to live?

So what.

We are all born to die?

So what.

The human race is on the verge of extinction?

So what.

The atomic bombs are all in the hands of lunatics?

So what.

你的狗不見了永遠也回不來？

那又怎樣。

你的鄰居侵佔你的領地拒絕交還？

那又怎樣。

你的父母不愛你？

那又怎樣。

你逮到你的配偶和你最好的朋友上床？

那又怎樣。

你的丈夫心臟病發而死而且

你被告知還剩三個星期可活？

那又怎樣。

我們全都天生會死？

那又怎樣。

人類瀕臨滅絕的邊緣？

那又怎樣。

原子彈全都在瘋子手中？

那又怎樣。

Everything is what it is,

exactly as it is; all meaning and all suffering

derive from judging it good or bad,

which is arbitrary, subjective, relative and

meaningless.

You completely and vehemently disagree?

每件事情都是它本來的樣子，

一直以來都是這樣；所有的意義和痛苦

都是來自對它的好或壞的判斷，

都是獨斷、主觀、相對而且

毫無意義。

你十分激烈地不贊同？

So what.

那又怎樣。

非常有趣也值得再三玩味的一首詩。

有點不明白為什麼在詩文中的「so what」後面是句點而不是問號；像標題那樣？

如果他聽到我問的這個問題，他或許也會繼續說：那又怎樣。
