L to L 練習

這個練習法看了好幾年, 一直無法體會其精神所在, 最近在上桿下桿收桿間多用身體後, 總算知道這個動作的要點.  的確在方向與距離都進步許多.  所以最最主要的是多用身體.


L to L Drill ~ Gain More Distance

Strength and flexibility are all important factors in creating power; however they are not prerequisites. Having an understanding of how to create power can help you gain extra yards without going to the gym five days a week. During your swing, the most important power-creating move occurs on your downswing as soon as your arms are parallel to the ground. This is about the time where your wrists begin to unhinge (ideally), and the clubhead speeds up tremendously into impact. The wrists move around very quickly from this position into and after impact. To help improve your distance, work on speeding up these movements using the L to L drill.

When learning this drill, do not hit golf balls. Start at address and slowly swing back until your arms are parallel to the ground. The club should be pointing at the sky, creating the “L”. This position is ideal, as your wrists are cocked, and your arms are extended from your body. Consider this the top of your swing in this drill, and now slowly swing down, through impact, and into the backwards “L” position as shown. Repeat this move over and over again speeding up each time. This will help to speed up your wrists through impact and lead to increased distance. With practice you can hit balls with this drill, just focus on swinging in control.
