瑞士巴塞爾畫家──從石匠轉為藝術家的［彼得．伯曼］

彼得．伯曼（Peter Birmann，1758 年12 月24 日巴塞爾； 1844 年7 月18 日）

瑞士畫家，也是畫家塞繆爾·伯曼（Samuel Birmann）的父親，也是作家馬丁·伯曼（Martin Birmann）的養祖父。

伯曼出生於 1758 年，是石匠魯道夫·伯曼 (Rudolf Birmann) 的兒子，最初跟隨父親當學徒。

從 1771 年起，他接受瑞士多位藝術家的指導，包括August Kaufmann、Marquard Wocher、Johann Ludwig Aberli）。

1781 年至 1790 年間，伯曼居住在羅馬，受僱於路易斯·杜克羅斯 (Louis Ducros) 和喬瓦尼·沃爾帕托 (Giovanni Volpato)；他也結識了約翰·沃爾夫岡·歌德（Johann Wolfgang Goethe）。

1791 年，他在巴塞爾開設了自己的工作室，除了繪畫工作外，還培訓年輕藝術家（例如Achilles Benz, Hieronymus Hess）。
