| ontemporary accelerationists, represented by Alex Williams and Nick Srnysek, cut into the critique of capitalism from the perspective of Western Marxism, which is different from criticizing modernity. In their view, Marx was not a rejector of modernity, but an active participant. Accelerationism means accelerating the mechanism of capitalism, thereby facilitating its collapse. Srnysek considers the latest form of contemporary capitalism in terms of accelerationism: platform capitalism. Platform capitalism uses digital platforms and data for power and profit. Srnisek divides the platforms into five types, namely, advertising platform, cloud platform, industrial platform, sharing platform, and lean platform. These digital platform competitions mainly revolve around three elements, namely data, nodes, and users. The emergence of digital platforms has made the proletariat more marginalized, its pay and job stability have decreased, and the proletariat has become mobile and fragmented. Srnysek hopes to start from the platform itself and find a way out of platform capitalism and realize the liberation of the proletariat.
