蔡英文表示，台灣參與跨太平洋夥伴協定(TPP)第二輪談判是民進黨長期支持的目標，相信透過參與TPP能推動台灣貿易多元化、並促進產業升級與創新發展。對此，邵建隆說，他非常支持台灣加入TPP，雖然台灣第一輪談判來不及參加，但是台灣在第二輪談判絕對不能缺席，這也是他將努力推動的目標。
