(1) 乾：元、亨、利、貞。
乾(天之卦象)：代表起初(創造)、亨通(茂盛)、順利(仁慈)、忠貞(正道)。
Heaven’s image: Represents beginning (creation), success (prosperity), well-being (benevolence), and allegiance (righteousness).
初九：潛龍勿用。 九一：君子像隱伏之龍無欲於官職(不顯露才華)。
9.1：The sage like a hidden dragon has no desire to serve (not to show off his ability).
九二：見龍在田，利見大人。 九二：如龍出現在田野，有利於覲見君王。
9.2：Like a dragon appears in the field, it is favorable for him to present to the king.
九三：君子終日乾乾，夕惕若厲，無咎。 九三：君子整日宣道勤奮工作，到了夜裡反思警惕，以免遭來災難。
9.3：A sage preaches and works diligently all day, but is vagilant and introspecting at night, in order not to incur any mishap.
九四：或躍在淵，無咎。 九四：如龍在湖中跳躍，避免陷入困境。
9.4：Like a dragon leaps inside the lake, to stay out of trouble.
九五：飛龍在天，利見大人。 九五：如龍在天上飛行，有利於出現明君。
9.5：Like a dragon flies in heaven, it is the time for the great king to emrge.
上九：亢龍有悔。 九六：如果像龍傲慢起來，必定會後悔。
9.6：If behaves like an errogant dragon, he will soon regret.
用九：見群龍，無首，吉。 用九：一批賢者出現猶如一群龍，不互相爭奪權位，就會相安無事。
With 9：A group of competent men emerges like a herd of dragons, not to battle for leadership, will be auspicious.
