9. 敵則能戰之，少則能逃之，不若則能避之。

如果兩方實力相當就分散敵軍然後採用各個擊破的戰術，如果我方軍隊的人數少就先撤離，如果敵強我弱就必須避免跟他們衝突。

If both sides are well-matched, divide the enemy then attack each of its small forces one by one, if the number of our soldiers is fewer then withdraw our troop, if our troop is inferior then avoid battling against them.
