What a tragedy！
This story is apparently too unreal .
After watching the video, 
I was haunted by questions.
How come Myra could be so sensitive?
At the beginning of story,
Cronin and Myra fall in love at first sight.
In a very short time, 
twenty-four hours after the first time they meet.
They decide to get married.
How weird?
Unbelievable！
Maybe I am just so rational to analyse the plot.
For me,
it is out of the question to marry the person I meet for only one day.

The blind love between Cronin and Myra may explains the
tragic plot.
There are a lot of occupations to do.
Why does Myra choose to become a woman on the street?
Myra feels hopeless after reading the news about the death of
Cronin.
Her financial problem results in tragedy.
Since Myra is unemployed and she cannot pay for the rent.
More worse, she cannot pay for the meals.  
Under conditions of poverty,  
she becomes a woman on the street.

However,
when the war is over,
she finds out her lover is still alive.
Myra's lover, Cronin, ask her to marry him.
Filled with joy and sorrow at the same time.
She runs away from the fact.
She is afraid of hurting Cronin's heart.
How can she change the painful past?
She does'nt give it a shot to confess to Cronin. 
In the end,
she suicides.
