Dear MM,

Your image lets us think of the “Cotton Candy.”

Cotton candy attracts us not only for its soft texture but also for its sweet flavor.

Oh, yeah!! Cotton candy is so yummy. We can't resist its temptation all the time. Haha, actually it is white sugar only. Since it consists of mostly air, it looks so huge, soft and elegant like a floating cloud which is so carefree and graceful in the sky. But the process and the hardship the white sugar underwent is always inspiring and thought-provoking.

The most popular color of cotton candy is white or pink, though any color can be made. MM is always active in adding more colorful experiences during the process. Eating the white cotton candy while imagining “We are floating carefreely on the white cloud and having our adventure with the wind is similar to the experiences of writing our thesis papers with the assistance from you.

Tenderness, softness, sweetness are the unique characteristics of the cotton candy. We have to say, “ Our MM has the same characteristics of the cotton candy.”  

Openness to accept the challenges of being spun at high speed with the heater. The sugar is squeezed and melt with the powerful force in the air and gathered together. Oh, yeah. MM is also open to our suggestions and kind enough to give us thoughtful responses and feedbacks.

Neither the candy nor the cotton can beat the unbeatable tenderness, softness, openness and sweetness of the cotton candy. After all, it is sugar indeed. However, with the strategies of modifying, modeling, shaping, decorating, self-improving, or self-marketing, the cotton candy is not sugar any more, but the floating cloud with fancy dreams at hand,  the fluffy hope which melts in our mouths, brightens our positive thinkings, sweetens our smiles and warms our heart, just like what MM has done to all of us.

Haha, we just can't fight the fluffy, soft, sweet, tender, yummy cotton candy. We just love MM’s openness, softness, sweetness, tenderness and consideration.

Mom Margaret wishes us to reach the top or be top (頂尖 優秀）and makes us spin like a busy top(陀螺 )from the early morning till the midnight.

We do believe if one wishes to be top (頂尖 優秀）, he or she should be like a whipping top whipped and guided by a string, and MM is supposed to be the one who has whip hands and who is willing to push and pull us to well-develop our potential abilities on the process of trials and errors.

Therefore, 勉強 is important. We do believe the powerful but graceful strength( 強)results from the consistent encouragement and the spirits of striving to do what is beyond one's power(勉). 勉強 from our understandings means forcing oneself to manage with an effort or do with difficulty even when he/she is reluctant or unwilling to keep working.

We are thankful that MM always gives us consistent encouragement when we meet difficulties and motivate us to make things happen.
