According to the chapter 1 so far, I have not seen the structure of the story but the motivation of the "speaker" who may be the author.
I saw the hint of "homesickness" in the authors life.
With the objective view as the reader, I would not think it a good idea to reveal authors motive in broad light.
If you do not mind, I would suggest you write the short stories or articles bit by bit first. Then you will build up the writing experience and you may have your own revision about the writing, wording and the layout in the end.
Above all, you will work out the core message you intend to bring out.

【後記】
這一兩個月之間，英格已經回家頻率多了。她不打電話就回來，表示她把家當家了。她回來會坐在客廳裏讀書，我煮咖啡給她喝。
我每天想到就發短信給她，她高興就簡短回覆。不然就沒回覆，事實上我發的短信本來就不是重要的。她比較常回覆的就是 Thanks Mum。
11月21日我突然想到用中文發短信。她立刻用中文回覆，而且來回數次。我太開心了，原來英格渴望媽媽跟她說中文。
