此刻

威廉    史代福德﹙William Stafford﹚的詩「此刻」，簡單實在的表達今年的此刻，也就是在過去的已經不存在、而未來正打開一扇門的現在，儘管一切總不是那麼完美，甚至有很多的迷失；儘管歲月會在我們身上留下不能磨滅的刻痕，我們卻總不失望，也始終期待新來的是個美好的一年。

值得欣慰的是，還有那些，無論識與不識、相熟與否的，來到你的門前，都不吝惜的問候一聲；親切的關懷，全是暖流。就在這樣的溫暖裡，我們又精神抖擻的開始了新的一年！

Now                                                     此刻 

Where we live, the teakettle whistles out  在我們的住處,茶壺吹出口哨

its heart. Fern arrives to                          表明心事. 蕨類植物不斷地

batter the window. Every day gets lost  來拍擊窗戶. 每天在走失的落日

in a stray sunset and little touches of air   和一點氣氛的觸動裡迷失.

Someone opens a door. It is this year.   有人打開了門, 這就是今年.

We hear crickets compute their brittle  我們聽見蟋蟀估算他們多變的 

almanac, A friend or a stranger              年曆.  一個朋友或陌生人

comes to the door; it is always "Hello" again, 來到門前,又總是「哈囉」

                                                              一聲, 

but just a friend or a stranger.                但只是個朋友或陌生人.

We get up and look out: a good year?     我們起來往外望:是個好年嗎 ?

God knows. People we meet look older. 上帝知道.我們遇見的人看來變

                                                             老了些.  

They ask how we are. It is this year.他們問起我們的狀況 .這就是今年 .
