The other day that Abe Shinzo, former Jap prime minister, announced if something happened to Taiwan because of China Mainland, that means the same thing happened to Jap. As expected, Ms. Hua Chunying, the newly promoted assistant to Minister of Foreign Minister, summoned Jap ambassador immediately to express severest concerns towards Abe’s shits.

The news incited vehement reaction from both sides of the strait. I happened to see a piece of the news regarding Chinas reaction to Abe’s speech popping on LINE, and I was curious what netizens would react to the report. There were all negative remarks against China; that was natural, no surprise to me. But all, I mean ALL, of the responses were just sheer emotion venting, nothing else. Believe it or not, I read through hundreds of the responses, but I could not find one that could provide any reasonable and logical analysis towards Abes speech, as well as towards Chinas reaction. All responses were full of vitriolic and vulgar terms such as Chinks, Chinese bandits, China pigs, and so on, let alone those solecism and fabrications. Is that the intellectual level pertaining to the people of Taiwan?

At the same time, I also read some of comments responded to the news on the websites in China Mainland.  Beside their usual supports towards foreign ministry, some netizens could also write something about the Sino-Japanese relation according to history and outlook with highly readable penmanship. Even there were also emotion venting, they were expressed in relatively self-controlled manners, with much fewer abusive remarks used as their counterparts did.
