Ms. Zhang Xianghua, the widow of late Mr. Bo Yang, announced the other day that she will discontinue to authorize the right of printing subject book after 2024.  She said the reason she is going to do that way is she doesn’t want to see the book become an accomplice to the immoral crime of anti-China or de-China.

Though I have the book in Taipei, never have I ever read it. (Maybe I did browse some pages.  FYI, I did read many an essay of his during my high school days.)  I don’t like the title of the book, and I don’t approve of his attributing the general deficits of human beings to Chinese people only.  Nevertheless, I would rather believe Mr. Bo Yang has never been a China-hater, and what the motive of his writing the book is out of his tough love towards China. 

Ms. Zhang, you are making a great decision.
