三年羈旅客，今日又南冠。

Confined in dungeon after having run around three years.

無限山河淚，誰言天地寬！

The scattered country, vast yet narrow, I mourn in tears.

已知泉路近，欲別故鄉難。

Being doomed, still it is hard to bid farewell to my hometown.

毅魄歸來日，靈旗空際看。

When my spirit returns, longing to see there come my followers 

PS  Can you believe the author died at only 16 years old when he lost the battle against Manchurians in late Ming Dynasty?  I guess most of you have never heard of the author, but the young Mainlanders know him quite well because the poem is selected in the junior high textbook of China Mainland.
