That media celebrity Mr Zhao Shaokang, previously a "golden boy of Taiwan in politics" some thirty years ago, announced the other day that he will soon file an application to rejoin KMT.  The news immediately made him a dynamite both in Green and Blue camps, for he had been a charismatic politician,  full of charm offensive in election.  As a senior of seventy, he is still well-preserved, eloquent, and energetic, which will make him a red-hot favorite if he engages in politics again, particularly if he could map out a vigorous, brand new, and easy-to-be-understood statement in the election as a candidate for the moribund KMT.      

I believe that if Mr Zhao takes the office as the leader of Taiwan, he will maintain a better relationship with China Mainland, which is the solid, but short-term base of the stability and the prosperity for the island.  However, I have told you before in my blog that Zhao is a typical figure of "Dutai".  So at most, the best he can do is to achieve a "revival of ROC" on Taiwan again, as his first name infers.  Nothing else.
