不覺初秋夜漸長，

The nights became longer as early autumn came unnoticed;

清風習習重凄涼。

coolness was coming back as the light breeze blowed.

炎炎暑退茅齋靜，

Sweltering heat subsided and the thatched abode was quiet again;

階下叢莎有露光。

beneath steps the dewdrops started to moisten the grass on ground.

PS  It has been over Mid-Autumn here in tropical Taiwan, but not until these days could we start to sense the autnmnal coolness.  Be heedful of the weather change, particularly if you are a senior citizen like me.
