I gave my translation on subject classical essay yesterday and I hope you would like it. I guess most of us in Taiwan have not read the essay ever in school, but students of China Mainland have because it is selected into language reader in high school (or in junior high, I am not sure.) Therefore, the essay is a frequent quotation in the internet messages of Mainland, particularly in political critiques. Some netizens suggest that China Mainland should take a lesson from Duke Zhuang: to wait with greatest patience until the best opportunity comes in dealing with the issue between the strait. Some others exhort Taiwan not to do excessively because "Unjust is doomed to destruction ". Finally, affinity within family is inseparable. Dear islanders, please always keep this in your mind: China is our mother, and China Mainland is our own elder brother, not Jap, nor America. Happy Mid-Autumn festival, and Happy Birthday, New China! |
