Subject rhyming paragraph is the comment from a Mainland netizen upon a reportage that the salary level of Taiwan has stagnated for sixteen years. Obviously, he or she taunted those imbecile DPP supporters for being so besotted with Wonky Cai that had turned out to be spurned lovers themselves.  Well, it is funny, but not so the situation of low salary in Taiwan. 

Anybody with basic economy knowledge must understand the relation between salary and growth is a cause and effect one.  The GDP of Taiwan has long been going upwards(though sometimes pretty low) through the years, so why hasnt it reflected in the salary level, and where have the increments gone to? 

The prima facie answer is clear.  Since late 90s the huge wherewithal from Taiwan has gone to China Mainland due to increasing cost in the island.  The governments counted the value of production from Mainland into the GDP of their own, while the money earned from Mainland did not help the island upgrade its industries mostly because of its unfriendly or even morbid investment enviorment, and all "surplus" had gone to real estates, or the pockets of those (robber) barons.

Part of the root causes regarding such a phenomenon stems from the widespread Anti-China mindset on the island.  Maybe I am a little bit paranoid, but I do think those measures of anti-luke, tree-hugger enviormentism, and so on are deliberately made in Taiwan so as to let the island different from China Mainland.
