Many Mainladers and their offsprings in Taiwan still harbor the "nostalgic" sentiments of the days when they were the "masters" of China before 1949. They have long been reluctant to adimit their failure, and being not deigning to fairly face whatever Mainlanders are doing even until now.  They may be aware of China Mainland has gained remarkable achievements in leaps and bounds over 70 years, still they use “the method of spiritual triumph” to conceal their fear and disappointment.  For example, “I don’t care the rising of a big country; I only care about the dignity of ordinary people” by Ms Long Yingtai.  

I believe a lot of readers may think Ms Long is a writer of purple proses, but to me she is just an arty-farty one.  Again, she expressed her opinion about recent riot in Hong Kong by an illogical metaphor of "egg vs tall wall".  Please read the following reportage at:
