I watched the film on the plane en route to San Francisco yesterday.  It vividly captures the struggle of controversial issue between the patented interest of drug companies and the pathetic patients who are badly in need of effective but much cheaper medication to cure their catastrophic illness, e.g., the kind of a chronic leukemia in the film.  (That dreadful disease, again.)

Fundamentally, the film represents the long-time debate between capitalism and socialism.  I remember some report said that Premier Li Keqiang, in response of the public opinion inspired by the film, ordered to study feasible ways quick to lower the prices of imported medication for curing patients of some cancers.

I strongly recommend you watch the film somehow online.  Well, it was a tiring journey for me on the plane, and I’ve got to go now.

PS  The nickname of the protagonist in the film is Yung Ge, exactly the same as the one A-bian calls himself in his FB, so funny.
