Who is Zhang Zongxiang? Does he have anything to do with Xie Changting? Not exactly.  But there are similarities in many aspects between these two guys. Both of them are ROC ambassadors (or representatives) to Japan, but they betray their country and act like quislings during their tenure, though the tenures have had an interval of just 100 years, from 1918 to 2018. Besides, both of them are graduates from Japan Empire Universities, in Tokyo and Taipei (now Japanese NTU), respectively.

Zhang, representing the ROC Peking regime, signed a secret treaty with Japan in 1918, in which China "agreed with alacrity" to grant Japan the right to inherit special interests in Shandong from Germany after WWI. Therefore, in next years peace conference in Paris, the assembly ruled as Japan wished, humiliating China and forfeiting her sovereignty. The news later incited the May Fourth Movement, during which Zhang, who happened to be in Peking then, was severely beaten up by indignant students.

Xie, the "ROC" representative to Japan, claimed several days ago in 2018 that what Jap coastguard ships expelled our fishermen or anglers in the disputed overlapping area was doing the right thing, thus ROC had no position of rendering protests against Jap. Xie totally forgot he is the top representative of the ROC, who should at least stick to the bottom line for the people of Taiwan. Well, the difference is that Xie so far hasnt said he would accept Japans statement "with alacrity", and he would never be beaten up by young students in Taiwan, for those "natural" imbeciles love Japan much more than the ROC.
