Since our kids graduated from college, and my wife and I were transferred back to work in Taiwan, we've experienced many a year not having a lunar year eve dinner all together until tonight. Now three mew members have been added to my family: my son-in-law, my granddaughter, and my daughter-in-law. We dinned out in a Chinese restaurant; though the dishes were not that delicious, and we failed to understand what those "young" people conversed with one another, still I felt very happy all the evening. (You know, I have hearing problems, and the switchboard in my brain is rusty, too. As they were speaking so fast that I just couldn't catch up.) May you guys all have a propitious year of 2018, and may Heaven bless China, including China's Taiwan! |
