According to Huanqiu.com, the systemwide CEO and the China district CEO of Mercedes Benz apologized to China in its official front page for a starkly inappropriate act it did, which would certainly hurt national feelings of Chinese people. 

“今晨，我们关注到我司在国际社交媒体上一则包含极为错误信息的发布，尽管我们已经尽可能第一时间将相关信息删除，但我们深知此事对国人情感造成的伤害，对此我们致以最诚挚的道歉。”

What Mercedes Benz did, anyway?  Well, it was just a piece of advertisement that cited a passage of cliche--like that often found in Fortune Cookie--- said by Dalai Lama, nothing else.  See?  Such an incident could best describe what German word "Realpolitik" means.
