A website of Chinas Mainland held a poll, inquiring readers who will be their most favorable Taiwans top leader in 2020 election.  The result was quite surprising.  Report said about 96% of the voters hoped that Wonky Cai could be re-elected as the next "president" of Taiwan, simply because "without her help, it is hard to get unification accomplished." 

The reason is simple.  Chinas Mainland has already set a red line that cannot be crossed: de jure independence.  Though the tricks for Taidu that Cai and DPP have been doing are all proved nostrums, still they continue finding every possible ways to achieve their "goal".  That assays Chinas patience.  Before the day of Wutong comes, Taiwans economy and stability will definitely go on degenerating to a state that the cry for unification with Mainland will emerge from darkness. 

But why didnt the netizens vote in favor of the candidate from KMT?  I think it was because of that KMT at least declared the stance of anti-Taidu superficially, and they had much better statecraft and experience than DPPs, that will let Taiwan economy not go down to straits quick, which would also make Chinas Mainland have difficultities in selecting Wutong as only recourse. 

Dear Islanders, please dont regard the poll as just a sarcasm or a joke; it is not.  All you have to do is to use your votes to let Cai and DPP step down, and push very hard to let the succeeding ruling party sign formal peace treaty between the Strait and earn a better condition in unification talk.  That is the only way for you to get out of the mire.
