Ive been always saying that two unhealthy mindset make a majority of islanders, who have long been brainwashed by DPP, think Taiwan is safe, and Chinas Mainland dares not adopt military means against Taiwan as long as it doesnt declare independence, and so decline refuse unification "forever". 

Like a grasshopper keeps on tantalizing a rooster, the islanders think no matter how they infuriate Chinas Mainland, by means of de-China, invectives, and so on, still China have to swallow all their actions and remarks.  The grasshopper may be quick in hopping up and down, but it is small, too.  In front of an even quicker and much larger rooster, eventually a grasshopper is nothing but a piece of dim sum. 

Another false thinking is US would protect Taiwan like a chaperone guiding a lass.  In other words, they think US will always be Taiwans godfather.  Dear islanders, please dont be fooled by such an anachronism any more.  China is now an ecomomic and military powerhouse in the world, having numerous intertwined interests with US, let alone by the year of 2020 China may have become the largest ecomomy in the world, and owned herself three aircraft carriers and a worldwide Beidou system.  Apparently the only recourse for US to settle the "Taiwan Issue" with China in the future must be through talk, instead of military confrontation or economic sanction. 

Wake up and open your eyes wide; the world has changed.
