愛爾蘭團體「西城男孩」（Westlife）國慶日來台開唱，返英不到10天，宣布(2012)解散，震驚歌迷。

他們1998年成軍，共發行11張專輯、26張單曲，

西城男孩在事業一路長紅，在英倫歌壇穩坐霸主地位！

西城男孩是過去英國歌壇十年來專輯總銷售僅次羅比〈Robbie Williams〉的第二名藝人，還打敗酷玩、接招等天團，名列十年最暢銷樂團冠軍！

曾經締造英國金榜包括「連續七首冠軍曲」金氏世界紀錄、僅次披頭四及貓王「14首冠軍曲」、「21世紀最暢銷樂團」、「連續22首Top5唯一藝 人」、「英國溫布利(Wembley)體育館最賣座藝人」等紀錄，迄今總共創下七張英國金榜冠軍專輯和25首金榜Top10金曲，全球銷售來到4400萬 張，不但是情歌霸主，更是男孩天團中的天團。

他們發表聲明：「我們想要休養生息，再展開新的冒險。出道14年還能製作專輯、巡迴演出，並擁有那麼多的歌迷，我們心滿意足。」

想多陪家人 ,他們將推出精選輯及告別演唱會，之後正式解散。他們的好友告訴英國《太 陽報》：「他們決定畫下美好句點，沒有任何不愉快。」 。
