It took us 15 minutes to walk there (with our luggage) from the train station.  We were amazed by the display of bicycles on the front wall.  As in Taipei, we were upgraded to a better room.  This trip was really full of pleasant surprises!  First in Taipei, now another upgrade in Tainan.  We could only thank God for His grace.  We toured around the hotel upon arrival.  The dining room was spacious, and we also liked the computer room and laundry facilities.  Exhausted by the train ride, we were quickly rejuvenated by the free cakes & drinks.  The cakes were tasty but not too sweet.

We went upstairs to our floor.  There was a drinking machine by the elevator.  Our room was quite large, with plenty of space for luggage. The floor was not carpeted, which felt clean.  According to the website photos, we were probably upgraded to the Deluxe Double Room.  The size of the bathroom was adequate.  The glass shelf above the sink added more space for toiletries.  The hotel was considerate in providing different shampoos & shower gels for men and women.  We knew (from previous guests’ reviews) that the hotel had one shortcoming: poor soundproof.  Indeed, we could hear our neighbors quite clearly, but thankfully they did not make any noise after bedtime.  

Overall, this hotel gave us very good value for our money.  Whatever we needed, the hotel provided generously.  The variety of food was about double that of other hotels.  The late supper buffet, in particular, offered sumptuous selections.  It is also worth mentioning that the staff members were all friendly and courteous.  They tried their best to help us with tourist information.  One improvement they probably want to make is to have a webpage in English for non-Chinese tourists.
