For immediate release
American Author Ingrid Anders and Washington, DC based translator Ching-Sung Chin team up to release a bi-lingual novel—Kat Vespucci Takes Taiwan/偉斯泊奇探台灣—published by EHG Books in October 2014.
About the Book
Kat Vespucci Takes Taiwan is the humorous adventure of an American woman teaching English in Taipei, Taiwan. The novel delivers east-west dialogue and cultural insights as the main character works, observes life, embarrasses herself, miscommunicates, endures culture shock, and falls in love on the beautiful and mysterious Pacific island.
Anders’ writing style is skillful, smooth, and playful. Her simple descriptions of life in Taiwan make for great humor. Underneath the laughs, the book spotlights many issues facing modern-day Taiwan. Kat Vespucci’s story leaves the reader with deeper issues to ponder and quite a few soul-stirring moments.
Kat Vespucci Takes Taiwan was first released in 2012 as an e-book in English. The bi-lingual edition will be the first version available in print.
