你曾經從神領受了一個令你期待已久的應許，

但事情卻毫無進展嗎？

你曾感到神在你心中放入一種渴望，

但它卻未曾實現過嗎？

你曾有信心看見，神對你人生的計畫彰顯，

但如今那份信心似乎枯乾、冷淡了嗎？

你曾對神會為你做事滿懷期待，

卻還在等待嗎？

當我們的盼望遲延了，

我們會以為應許永遠不會實現了，

或者應許實現了，但我們的心卻死了。

當我們面臨困境的時候，

很容易就會看不見神的應許。

這往往會導致我們偏離目標，

看不見神要成就我們的命定。

即使「基督的身體」教會，有經歷重大試煉的時候，

我們不要害怕，不要喪贍。

在我們受試煉的期間，仇敵會趁機用計讓我們喪膽。

然而，灰心喪膽反而更會造成盼望遲延，令人憂心。

甚至，當絕望進駐人的內心，我們就會對神失去盼望。

我們最難以承受的，

就是期待某個人去完成某件事，他卻沒有達到我們的期待。

尤其是神竟把我們的期待遲延，或是結果和所預期的不同。

神的時間表與我們的時間表大不相同，

我們應當給神「更多時間」去達成我們的期望。

如果我們有足夠的耐心等候

「所願意的臨到」，

我們必會嘗到成就的美味，

正如生命樹的果子一樣。
