其實Medea不似杜蘭朵那樣，真正是男人趨之若鶩、願拜裙下亡的"Femme Fatale"(致命的女性). 她反而是真正的悲劇人物，被利用，獻出全部，放棄蠻族公主身分，生了孩子，卻被英雄Jason拋棄打算另娶正統希臘公主。

from 1:15’ 婚禮的可能結局是Medea做得到但是做不下去的掙扎(讓新娘燒死於嫁衣); 1:22’ 起Medea與Jason結婚對象公主Glauce父王的辯證，充滿懇切，求勿放逐她與兩個和Jason生的孩子。在那一刻，她還沒有玉石俱焚的念頭。但父王因為她是蠻族公主且有巫術、而父王與公主都對她深感恐懼與歉意，執意為女放逐被拋棄的Medea。此段的Medea絕望悲痛漸漸升得更高。是最後Jason那段無情的話，讓獻出一切協助Jason找到金羊毛的她心灰意冷，她要Jason帶兒子們把祭司袍送給Glauce為禮表示祝福(臣服)並懇求勿放逐孩子。(1:28’:10~43’’ 的表情, 至高的痛苦、心意已決)。

Glauce後者將衣拉起比試見鏡裡自我影像，愧(愧於己, 有愧於人)而跳城牆自殺，深愛女兒的父親也因失女跳城牆自殺。她在國王話語裡了解了他們的愧疚，故用「以德報怨」法達到目的。Jason也因沒有婚禮達不成擁有權勢的目的。

但Medea恨的是Jason, 而非這兩人。她要讓他連”後代”都一無所有。你可以在此說是蠻族的邏輯，或者就是徹底的報復。當中不乏原始時期女性主義的影子。但說真的，希臘悲劇的戀父情結(Electra complex)不就是留下後代的結果(弒母)? 

接下來的Medea只剩下淡淡的冷漠，溫柔地在奴隸伴唱聲中一個個幫孩子寬衣、沐浴、穿衣、擁著哄睡(此處大導完全沒讓你看到一滴血或一聲尖叫，只除了母愛)，次晨以巫術放火燒了全？逃不出巫術火場的Jason說”Your tear is useless.”,” nothing can be done anymore.”。

1969, 就在歐納西斯棄她轉向Jacqueline Kennedy (Jackie賈姬)後，據言她還是偶與歐納西斯持續祕密情人身分，住在巴黎深居簡出1977年9月16日心臟病發過世，享年53. 她不朽的Casta Diva (聖潔的女神, 歌劇Norma), 是在1958巴黎演唱會。1977她愛上歐納西斯，甚至為了離婚不惜放棄美國公民身分，怎知，一切還是成空。那時纖瘦的她，還是可以把各種顫音在喉間靈活轉動，再加上投入的情緒，似乎，早已預見了命運。

Callas也於1953-62 間Revive過同名歌劇，據稱一周就學好全劇了。 (Médée, 1797最後一景的長曲讓作曲者Luigi Cherubini 寫到昏倒)
