１９７６年８月　瑞典四人團體阿巴（ABBA）推出了〔Arrival／抵達〕專輯（１０月才發行）的首支單曲〔Dancing Queen／舞后〕

〔Dancing Queen〕並沒有包含很多迪斯可的基本要素
而且拍子較慢　加上syncopated rhythm　並不適宜舞廰播放
不過這首Euro-Pop味道濃厚　旋律甜美　編曲細緻明快的歌曲還是被視為迪斯可範疇的經典之一
此曲拿下ABBA連續第三首英國冠軍　並蟬聯六週
