１９７２年底,３０歲半的美國娛樂圈天后芭芭拉史翠珊（Barbra Streisand）推出個人主演的喜劇／戲劇片［Up the Sandbox／主婦狂想曲］（National General Pictures發行）

只是影評／票房皆不佳, 雖然史翠珊的演出得到事業最佳評價之一, 且名列芭芭拉個人最喜歡的演出。

身為歌后的芭芭拉的演唱主題曲［If I Close My Eyes／假如我閉上雙眼］（Columbia出版）

由Alan Bergman＋Marilyn Bergman＋Billy Goldenberg（電影配樂者）譜寫, 後者製作成一首流行抒情曲

在優美的樂聲中, 史翠珊娓娓將歌曲帶上高潮。

１９７３年１月送到電台宣傳, 日後才推出七吋單曲, 因此沒入榜。

芭芭拉從沒現場表演過此曲, 且直到１９９１年才收錄在4CD盒裝精選輯［Just for the Record....］中。這個版本有法國音樂人Michel Legrand客串。

［If I Close My Eyes］算是史翠珊少為人知的電影歌曲之一。
