口罩這樣曬不行消毒嗎？
不管 N95 或外科手術用口罩我一天頂多戴 20 分鐘，散步時用，回來就丟太可惜了。這兩只還是自疫情爆發以來我唯「二」的兩只口罩。就不懂爲什麼這麼多人要囤積，視口罩如命。是從早上起來戴到晚上睡覺嗎？爲什麼？
美國人不懂戴口罩的意義，現正學習中，謠言滿天飛。還有人只戴嘴巴不戴鼻子，嫌「呼吸困難」，我家就有一個。

當然會。口沫是 droplet，咳嗽或打噴嚏口沫飛幾尺後墜落地上，鞋子踩到帶回家，脫鞋入屋沒問題。口「氣」不是 droplet，是 aerosol。你給他想成口臭就好。口臭爲什麼聞得到？爲什麼不墜落地上？因爲口臭是氣，aerosol，對方口裡的氣體分子進入你的鼻腔，that's why 你「聞」到。Coronavirus 濾過性病毒也分子大小，當然不會墜落到地上，當然也 aerosol，這就是空氣傳染的意思，也是爲什麼 social distancing 很重要。只要你覺得距離近到你可能可以聞到對方的口臭，coronavirus 就能傳染，所以與人保持一定距離極其重要，最好都不要接近任何人，連看到都避免。

請看全美第一大州帥哥州長的才具器使，跟東岸的紐約州長廓莫可謂交相輝映。加州州長紐森極受州民擁戴其來有自，廓莫現成美國最性感的男人並不事出無因。紐森從來不講什麼要大家「愛加州」這種肉麻廢話，廓莫更是嚴格高標不客氣，紐約乃至全體美國人無不信受奉行。蔡英文川普者流只是自甘扮演小丑，我願更具體說她們是沒辦法，因爲水準就只那點，不行就是不行，無論如何無法不無能，天命。

整個舊金山灣區今天僅比昨天新增兩起死亡案例，比起大紐約每天幾百上千人死好太多了，簡直不成比例。
大洛杉磯似乎並無如市長上週預期的大爆發，真是不幸中的大幸。紐約的哀傷我們感同身受，加州得以倖免除地廣人稀外州民水準超高也是重要因素。
想起小學畢業同學錄上大家傳誦不已的「靠山山倒，靠人人老，靠自己最好」。

I'm a greedy fans of Dr. Greene. I hope you don't mind I ask two questions in one shot.
1. Apparently neutron star is a visible object. In the range of visible light spectrum, what would be the color of a neutron star? If it's like the sun, it's color is yellow. If it's like a mirror, when all input lights are shut off, the mirror itself still has a color. So what is the color of a neutron star?
2 . In your book The Elegant Universe, String Theory seems to suggest that there's no infinity in either direction of size, i.e., there's no such thing as infinitely large or infinitely small, the singularity at the beginning of the big bang is a string, not zero. Dr. Fey Dowker is of the opinion that both space and time are discrete, i.e., there's a minimal entity of them. Is the String Theory of the same opinion? That not only space and time, but also energy and matter are discrete, not contiguous? And the very one string is IT, never comes down to zero, nothingness?

從高本衲出生起她就已經是英國女王，直到現在，六七十年了誒。有必要這樣嗎？妳的兒子查理王子從生到老當國王毫無希望，年紀比高本衲我還大，現在連孫子都眼看要泡湯。妳長壽是好事，可是爲什麼一定要這樣戀棧權位呢？對妳自己、對英國、對大不列顛人民，有什麼好處？要是妳能活到兩百歲，英國皇室不就得先翹辮子是幸？

已經有此間清華友人的友人在紐約因 Covid-19 病死。紐約火葬場早已全天 24 小時在燒，家人不得送終，骨灰無從尋覓。死的人太多，誰都不曉得誰誰是誰。基本上只要病發打 911 救護車送進醫院後就算天人永隔，除非療癒歷劫歸來。
